Horace in London 1813, that is, poems in the style of Horace by James Smith and Henry Moore. Full title: Horace in London: Consisting of Imitations of the First Two Books of the Odes of Horace by the Authors of Rejected Addresses or the New Theatrum Poetarum. Published in London (John Miller) and Edinburgh (John Ballantyne). 192 pages, four inches by 6.5. Very good copy in the original half aniline calf over marble boards. Red gilt-blocked morocco label with gilt cross-bands to the spine. Panel edges scuffed as with age with some minor loss to the spine bands. Remains uncommonly well-preserved. I have several editions of both Horace and Ovid, so I would be happy to sell those books as collections at a hefty discount.
