This is a wooden cigar box that has been covered with a metal veneer and fitted with a little lock so that you can store your valuable letters and papers or even your cigars. I do not have the key and the box is permanently unlocked. The metal has worn away on the front left hand corner of the base to show the tax stamp. The lid of the box has a framed picture of an English village scene. The interior of the box lid is fitted for a mirror that has been broken and part of the mirror is missing. This could be easily repaired. The bottom of the box has a declaration of how the box or the cigars in the box can be used within the limitations of the law regarding tobacco taxes. The interior is clean wood and the box measures 9 x 6 1/4 inches. This is a nice vintage item that has charm and character even with its imperfections.
