This stoppered decanter is made in the Maple Leaf Pattern by The Model Flint Glass Co of Albany, Indiana. This decanter is pictured in the 1899 Model Flint Glassworks catalog with this ridged stopper. The large heavy decanter stands 10 inches tall with the stopper in place. The decanter is a squared shape with notched panels on all four sides with maple leaves on the panels. There are notched edges to the panels and a series of notches down the neck of the decanter. The stopper is also notched. It is thought that this was produced over the years 1900 to 1902. There are rough edges on two of the four bottom notches on the decanter. The base of the decanter measures 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. There is some cloudiness at the very bottom of the decanter. The base indents deeply into the interior of the decanter and there is a rough pontil or gather on the concave base. While the stopper is the same stopper pictured in the Model Flint 1899 catalog, the stopper wobbles when in place in the decanter.
