EAPG Homestead Salt Shaker Bryce Higbee c.1880’s - image 1 of 6

This lovely salt shaker was produced by Bryce Higbee Glass Co in the 1880’s. The original manufacturer’s name is Homestead. Homestead is characterized by the handles with lovely scrolls over and under round glass circles. The shaker is in excellent condition without clouding of the glass from salt. The glass is clear and bright. The shaker is footed with a wafer that is not a separate piece between the foot and the body of the shaker. There are no chips or cracks. The shaker has the original metal top with a decorative pattern of stars and lines for the shaker holes. The shaker stands 3 1/8 inch tall with the top in place and is about 2 1/2 inches across between the handles. The footed base has a diameter 1 5/8 inches and has a pressed stellate the pattern.

This is a lovely shaker that would be a great addition to your table or to a collection.
