This is a great little how-to booklet put out by Vogue Patterns in 1972. The book is packed with information in its 48 pages. Measuring 8 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches, the booklet has a full color illustrated heavy paper cover and a staple binding. There is minor wear along the edges of the book. The cover is tight and intact. The inside pages are clean and unmarked. The pages are all tight. This book takes you through the process of sewing your own swimwear from start to finish. There is information regarding choosing appropriate fabric for one piece, two piece and bikini swimwear, making a bra, adjusting a pattern, building a panty, lining, straps, skirting for a suit and even a section on coverups that you can create to coordinate with your swimsuit. Though this is a 1972 publication and it features mod styles from the era, the information is appropriate for you today if you want to sew your own suit. This is a nice vintage fashion reference, but also a useful guide for the contemporary seamstress.
