This pink Depression Glass bowl was made by Anchor Hocking Glass Co. The pattern was produced from 1938-1943. This pattern is a fine example of the Art Deco influence in America at that time. The geometric lines and sharp angles of the pressed pattern were the epitome of the new modern influence of the time. The bowl has two curved handles and a flat bottom with a rayed design in the base that contrasts nicely with the sharp ribs of the bowl. The bowl has an outer diameter of 6 inches not inclusive of the handles.
The sharp ribs of the bowl are consistent with the original Manhattan pattern and not that of some of the reproductions of this pattern. There are no chips or defects in this bowl. Condition is excellent.
