This undated booklet was made to introduce the homemaker to her new Fridigaire refrigerator. It was prepared for the home economics department of the Fridigaire division of General Motors in Dayton Ohio. The cover shows a lovely dessert on glass plates on a lace table cloth circa 1940’s-1950’s.

The booklet features a mix of household tips, recipes that showcase the features of the latest model refrigerator and menu building tips. There is a front section that gives you ways to use leftovers in your recipes in novel ways, such as using left over sweet potatoes baked with apples or mixing them with white potatoes for combo hash browns. Leftover fish can be made into croquettes or scalloped while leftover pork can be added to stewed cabbage or used as a filling for stuffed peppers. Leftover fruit juice can be made into sherbet or flavored ice cubes and left over prunes can be made into prune whip which is one of the recipes in the booklet.

The booklet is a 36 page booklet with a stapled spine. It measures 5 1/2 x 8 inches. The spine is intact. There are no loose pages and the cover is also not loose. The pages are clean and unmarked. There is corner bumping but no tears or turned down corners.
