This soulful and sad photograph shows a family with mother likely on her death bed. The expressions on all of the faces speak to the gravity of the situation for which they are gathered for a final family photograph. The husband gently holds the mother's hand. The back of the photo is marked Gramma and Grampa Novak. The photograph was made in Maringo Illinois according to the person from whom I obtained this photograph. The 5 x 7 inch photo is mounted on a slightly larger cardboard backing. There are no creases in the photo but there is a small defect in the left upper corner of the photo.
