Camillus and the Sears Craftsman brand have both long been synonymous for quality in workmanship. The two have joined forces when Camillus created the special edition 65th Anniversary folding knife to commemorate the Craftsman brand which was licensed on May 20, 1927. This knife was made in 1992 to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of this brand.
The knife is in mint condition. The knife is 8 5/8 inches when fully extended. The single 3 3/4 inch blade has a lockback mechanism. The face of the blade is engraved with 65th Anniversary 1927 to 1992. The tang is stamped with Camillus New York USA. The blade is in pristine condition and has never been used or sharpened. The knife comes with its original owner registration certificate and Camillus care instructions.
The handle is jigged bone and is 5 inches in length. The handle is free of defects, cracks or chips and the finish is silky smooth. The Craftsman logo on a white metal cartouche is inset into the handle and the front bolster is stamped with 1428 to indicate the production number.
The hinged wooden presentation box is 10 inches long by 3 inches wide has a red flocked recess in which the open knife rests. The cover of the box has a wood cutting of the Craftsman logo and Special Edition beneath it.
This knife is a single owner knife that has been in a private collection since its acquisition.
