This risqué figurine or fairing is hand painted bisque with a slightly glossy glaze. The figurine has gold leaf trimming. The two boys are seated on chamber pots on a pedestal base. The front of the base is imprinted with gold lettering, Let us do Business together. The mold is very detailed and the little details are meticulously painted. These fairings or naught potty figures were popular in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. This figurine is marked Made in Germany in red on the unglazed base. There are no chips or cracks or repairs present. These figurines were made as little whimsical trinkets. In the photo you will notice an indentation at the back of the base. This is part of the way the figurine was made and the indentation is fully glazed, it is not a chip. The figurine measures 3 3/4 inches long by 2 inches deep and is 4 1/2 inches tall.
