This whimsical postcard features a hen and her chicks. The chicks are balancing on a stick that is teetering on a basket of brightly colored eggs. The face of the card bears the message, “Easter Gladness.” The card is in good condition. Corners are bumped but the face is clean and the colors are bright. There are no tears or creases present.
This card has been postally used with a stamp and a Chicago, Ill Canal Station postmark, April 11, 1914. The left margin of the card is printed Raphael Tuck & Sons’ “Chicks and Rabbits” Easter Postcard Series No. 757. Art Publishers to Their Majesties the King and Queen. There is also a message and address in ink.
