What a great find!! This is a complete set of 4 Northern Tissue Girls from the late 1950's to early 1960's which were available as a premium from Northern Mills. The lovely little girls were featured on the pastel and white rolls of Northern Tissue. The girls were drawn for Northern by illustrator, Francis Hook. The Northern girls were so popular that these prints were made available as a premium so that they could be used to decorate nurseries and bedrooms for little girls all over America. This set of 4 are the original girls......Yellow, Blue, White and Pink....in 11 x 14 inch prints ready to frame. The prints are on white vellum and in the original envelope separated by tissue and backed with a sheet of stiffened cardboard. The prints are in excellent condition without spots or discoloration and have been stored away since they were obtained. They have never been used, hung or framed.
The Yellow girl is a beautiful blue-eyed blond holding a bouquet of sunny yellow flowers.
The White girl is a lovely brunette in wintry white hat and gloves with snow flakes in the background.
The Blue girl is also a pretty brunette with blue eyes and a blue dress and bow holding a snuggling a white kitten.
The Pink girl is my personal favorite and is a blue-eyed baby peering out from beneath a soft pink blanket.
These are a wonderful find for a little girl's vintage room or a vintage nursery
