This 1909 Thanksgiving postcard features a high relief embossed still life with a turkey and fruit in front of a large silver ewer on a mantle or table. The pitcher is covered in bright silver. The rest of the card is airbrushed with varying colors including bright red apples and the head of the turkey. There is an embossed greeting that has not been airbrushed which reads Thanksgiving Greetings. The card is in good condition with some bleeding of the postmark onto the front of the card and a small tear along the right edge. It displays very nicely due to the bright colors.
The back of the card is divided. The card was printed in Germany and is also marked P B F Serie 9315. The card has been postally used. There is a stamp and postmark present. The postmark is dated November 23, 1909 from St. Clair Michigan. There is an address and message in pencil.
The message on the back is dated 11/23/09
