This old Thanksgiving postcard features a boy feeding crumbs to a big Tom Turkey……possibly in an attempt to lure him to the Thanksgiving table as the main event! There is a small red printed greeting in the lower right hand corner that reads: Thanksgiving Greetings. The card has a slightly embossed face. There is corner bumping and slight edge wear present. The image, however is wonderful and colorful.
The back of the card is divided and there is a smudged pencil message that is very hard to read due to age and penmanship and spelling! The card has been mailed and has a stamp and a double postmark from both Indiana and Kansas. The postmarks are from November, 1908. The bottom edge of the back is marked Printed in Saxony.
The card is addressed to a Master M A Ricketts in Sedan, Kansas. Care of C A Tipton.
I can mail one card for the same as several, so if you purchase more than one card, please wait to pay until I can appropriately adjust the postage for your purchase.
