This patriotic postcard features a very large American Flag with 48 stars. The card proclaims a quote from Daniel Webster, "Thank God, I am an American!" The face of the card is in good condition. The corners are sharp.

The back of the card is marked Made in U.S.A. The back is divided. The card has not been mailed, but there's is a name and address and date written on the address portion of the back.

The card is dated May 16, 1917 and is addressed to Helen B. Whippo, Paxton, Ill. In a different ink, but a very similar handwriting is one phrase: Went to Ill.
