These great old cuff links from Baer and Wilde have stood the test of time. These hexagonal faced cuff links have a silvertone base and border. The narrow border has a fine leaf motif at each of the points. The face of the cuff links are a delicate lavender celluloid with a checked pattern. The faces are 1/2 inch in diameter.
The snap mechanisms work well and close securely after almost 100 years! The backs are marked Kum-A-Part Reg's't'd on one side and the other side is marked Baer and Wilde.
Baer and Wilde was formed in 1908 as the men's jewelry division of Attleboro Manufacturing Co. In 1918 they invented and registered the trademark Kum-A-Part for snapping cufflinks. The heavy duty snap that joins front and back faces of the link keep them securely in place on french cuffs. Baer and Wilde became the well-known Swank jewelry co in the late 1930's.
