This little can opener with a screw driver end was a give away from Sapolin paints. The opener could be used at home and carried in a pocket, but could also be used by the painter to open his paint cans. The can opener is 3 inches long with a ring to put it on a key chain or a hook at the bar. The ring has a tight split that would not prohibit use on a key chain or hook. One side of the opener reads "Sapolin enamels, gildings and stains". The other side of the opener reads "Sapolin decorates your home best." There is pitting but no rust.
Sapolin paints made some unusual paint products including gold leaf paint, unusual paint colors for metals, marine paint and exterior spray house paints and enamels. The company existed until the late 1970's when it was bought by another company and the unusual items were no longer made.
