The 1908 presidential election featured William H Taft for President and James S. Sherman for Vice President. This postcard was a political advertising postcard for that election. The card features the portraits of both candidates surrounded by gilt framing, laurel garlands and cord. The Statue of Liberty stands between the portraits. There are crossed American Flags and a shield of red white and blue lies beneath the two portraits. The card is in good shape with some corner bumping, but there are no tears.
The reverse side of the card shows postal use with a February 10, 1910 Cumberland, Maryland postmark. There is a canceled stamp in place. The card has a message and address on the divided back written in pencil.
