This unused postcard honors the birthday of George Washington with the motif of a hatchet and cherries for the story of George Washington chopping down the cherry tree. There is a rhyme on the card, "Here's to the hatchet which holds a high place, Forever distinguished by fame!" The front right lower corner is imprinted with "Painting only copyrighted by The Int. Art. Pub. Co. 1908".
The reverse side is divided and it has not been mailed or written on. The upper left corner is imprinted with the insignia of International Art Publ. Co. The card was printed in Germany. The lower left corner is marked No. 51646.
The condition of the card is very good without marks or creases.
