This 1908 Thanksgiving postcard features a prayerful boy at the Thanksgiving table. Over his right shoulder is the American Eagle upon a red, white and blue shield. Over his left shoulder is a big Tom turkey perched upon a dinner plate! The card has a Thanksgiving message on a scroll on the bottom: “Thanksgiving Greetings.” The colors are bright and the subject is appealing. The corners are slightly bumped.

The back of the card has a canceled stamp and bears a Brooklyn NY November 25, 1908 postmark. The card is part of Thanksgiving Series No 1.

There is a message and an address on the card. The message is simply “From Mike.”

Genealogy: The card is addressed to Howard Coe 244 South 9th St. Brooklyn, N.Y.

Multiple postcards can be mailed for almost the same price as a single card, so it you purchase several, please wait to pay until I can adjust the postage for your purchase.
