These two young lads are trying to lure this turkey to his demise with a plate of food and a short rope, but the turkey is not buying into the game. The card proclaims Cordial Thanksgiving Greetings. The lower left corner of the face is imprinted with Painting Only Copyrighted by the Int. Art. Pub. Co. 1908. The card is in very good condition for its 100+ year age.

The reverse is marked with the trademark for the International Art Publishing Co. The card was printed in Germany. The card has been mailed. There is a Portland Maine 1908 postmark, canceled stamp and message and address written in ink.

MESSAGE: Yes, I was out to South Portland over Sunday, but I ought to have been home studying. Ma was out to Aunt Lizzie's Sunday and Mary was over there. I don't know what is the matter with her. She owes me a letter and has for a long time. J. A. L. How is this for promptness??

GENEALOGY: The card was mailed by J. A. L. in Portland Maine to Mr. James A. Norton in Philips Maine.
