This postcard greets the new year with a clock face chiming midnight. The clock face is surrounded by blue flowers and mistletoe. The greeting proclaims A Glad New Year. The card is in good postally used condition with intact brightly colored gel face with a chip on the lower right corner as the only flaw.
The back of the card bears the following markings: Printed in Germany, Series No. 7147 and a trademark. There is a1913 Saint Charles, Mo. postmark and canceled stamp present. The card bears a message and address written in ink.
Message: Dear friend Happy New Year. Well how are you. We were looking for you folks over last Sunday. We butchered Monday and have been awful busy for a few days. We looked for Bud and Mamie last Friday & Saturday but haven't seen them yet. Now be sure to come over Sunday or some time soon. How do you like this gloomy weather. Elsie said tell you Hello.
