1908 Real Photo Easter post card with girl, eggs, and flowers hand colored and trimmed with glitter
This lovely card is printed in Germany. It is hand colored and trimmed with glitter. There is a lovely girl seated on a bench. She holds a half egg and the egg is filled with flowers and a smaller egg. The girl's yellow dress is trimmed with glitter along the skirt and the billowing sleeves. She has a wreath of flower in her hair.
The back of the card has Printed in Germany imprinted along the left edge. There is a message written in ink and the card has a 1908 postmark from Charleston Illinois. Condition is very good with only minor bumped corners.
The note is interesting in its content and lack of punctuation: Be shure (sic) and come Will look for you Did you ride the goat Have a fine time Write to me
GENEALOGY NOTE: Postmark is from Charleston Illinois March 26, 1908 and the note is signed Lena F. The card is addressed to Miss Leona Reeves in Paris Illinois and at the bottom there is an additional location of Landis and Co. Store.
