This is a very interesting artistic postcard of turn of the century St. Louis. Done in black and white, the image shows a busy street scene on a rainy night with horse-drawn carriages and umbrella-toting pedestrians on the street. The only white parts on the postcard are the street lights and shop lights that reflect the sheen of the wet streets. Lower left hand corner is marked with the number 24976. The card has not been sent through the mail, but it does have a message and full address written in ink on the reverse side. The message is dated 8-23-1911. Condition is good with very minor edge wear and lightly bumped corners.
