This graceful and classic shaker is named Nearcut #2692 and was a product of Cambridge Glass Co c.1909. There are narrow linear panels with pointed at the apex that are alternating with two slightly wider and more arched panels. This produces a base that is a gently curved circle. The base is stamped with a sunburst. The neck of the shaker is finished, consistent with later glass production in the early 20th century and consistent with the quality glass ware for which Cambridge is noted. The top is a metal rim is worn and has some corrosion. It surrounds a pierced celluloid insert that is in very good condition. There are no cracks and only minimal base roughness from use.
