This lovely toothpick is part of the pattern variously known at Blazing Heart, Blazing Cornucopia or Paisley. The pattern is attributed to U. S. Glass Co with production variously given as 1902 or 1913. The toothpick is decorated with cranberry stain on the small thumbprints that are in the center of an elongated heart-shaped shield. The stain is intact with minimal loss. The top edges of the toothpick are scalloped. There are traces of the gold that was present as an embellishment on the scalloped rim. There is minor roughness on the patterned lower edges of the handles. The toothpick stands 2 1/2 inches tall and has a base diameter of 2 1/4 inches.
