This lovely slipper is marked Germany on the sole. The slipper has an upturned toe and is decorated with gilding. There is an embossed scrollwork design in the china and there is a transfer decoration of flowers on the toe of the slipper. The main portion of the sole and the heel are unglazed bisque. The right corner of the heel is not squared, but it is covered with glaze so this is a part of the original shoe. The left corner of the heel is rough with a very minute chip present. There is wear to the gold ornamentation. This is still an extremely lovely old slipper that would certainly grace your collection.
