Checkerboard pattern was produced by Westmoreland Glass Co. c. 1915. This is just near the end of the Early American Pattern Glass period. The glass is high quality and is clear and bright. There is no purple discoloration. There are no chips or cracks present. There is a rough pontil or gather mark on the base of the cruet as well as a nice amount of base wear from years of use. The stopper may not be the original stopper, but that is how I got it at auction.
