A rare vintage Australian teddy bear that dates to the 1950s.
The bear is made by the Barton Waugh company and is known as the Bruno bear.
The bear has the distinctive brown leatherette paw pads and the triangular nose stitching.
This is a large bear and measures approx. 61 cm (24 inches) in length.
The bear has glass eyes and is made from golden mohair plush.
The bear is firm to the touch and is probably stuffed with kapok.
The mohair is in good condition as seen in the photos there is balding on the back of the left leg, as seen in photo.
The left ear also needs to small stitch to reattach to head, please see photo. The bear is fully jointed and will enhance any toy collection.
