SALE PRICED TO SELL! A gorgeous Vintage China Coffee desert set, fully complete, is presented. This 15 piece, service for four, is marked CHODZIEZ MADE IN POLAND.
Circa 1940's-50's, this amazing desert set is comprised of an 8 inch tall coffee pot, which of course can also be used for other beverages such as tea or hot chocolate and is perfect for the dining room or with your kitchenware! Also included are a covered sugar bowl, creamer, four cake plates, four saucers and four cups! The background coloration of each piece is a rich and delicious chocolate brown. There are abstract accents of large sections of gold tone around the borders of each piece and a rim around the edges of the pieces as well (see photos). The inside of each cup is a mustard yellow, such a fabulous contrast with the brown coloration of the pieces. There are also accents of white, such as the handles (see photos). The top of the sugar bowl is also the wonderful mustard yellow. As stated above, each piece is embossed with CHODZIEZ, MADE IN POLAND. The city of Chodziez was always noted to be a significant center for the pottery industry. CHODZIEZ PORCELANA began as porcelain factory in 1852 and years later, converted to the production of china. Additionally to being embossed CHODZIEZ, MADE IN POLAND, each piece of this 15 piece beverage set is also embossed with the pattern/serial number: 13416.
It appears as if this vintage china coffee and cake set has never been used and is in mint condition. There is no damage whatsoever including chips, loss of paint, etc. It is ready to be used an enjoyed or displayed. It truly must be seen to be appreciated.
