A Vintage Celluloid necklace link necklace with a dangling Celluloid puffed heart pendant is presented that is quite rare!
This early Vintage Celluloid Necklace is circa 1920's. The rope style necklace itself measures just about 15 inches long. Dangling from this exquisite two toned Celluloid rope necklace is a puffed heart pendant, which measures 2 inches long and 1 ¾ inches wide. The Celluloid necklace itself is comprised of black Celluloid rings interspersed with ivory colored celluloid rings (be sure to see all photos). The two tone effect is simply stunning! The two toned rings end towards the back of the necklace, where there a series of ivory colored Celluloid rings. The Celluloid rings are wrapped around twice, giving the appearance of double rings. The Celluloid pendant dangles from a large black Celluloid ring, which in turn is attached to a smaller Celluloid ring, which in turn is attached to the pendant itself (see photos). This Vintage Celluloid necklace is truly amazing and must be seen to be appreciated! The contrast between the ivory colored Celluloid and black Celluloid is so very striking. The sleek black puffed heart pendant adds just the right embellishment to this already amazing necklace and it has quite an Art Deco flare to it! SEE ALL PHOTOS.
Celluloid was invented in 1869 and was very popular from that period and even through portions of the Art Deco era.
This vintage Celluloid necklace can be taken on and off with ease and is so very comfortable to wear. It is in perfect condition and free of any damage. It will truly make a statement when worn!
