FABULOUS Vintage LUCITE Confetti Necklace and Earrings Demi-Parure LAVENDER Coloration

A fabulous Vintage Lucite Confetti Necklace and Earring set is presented. The unusual lavender coloration in this demi-parure set, makes it truly outstanding!

Circa 1950's, this Lucite confetti necklace and earrings is a sure show stopper! The Vintage Lucite necklace measures 17 ½ inches in length. It is comprised of 11 round, slightly domed toped lavender Lucite beads. In between these large Lucite beads are smaller, 8 mm round lavender Lucite beads, both sizes with the same copper colored confetti flecks inside. The earrings are domed shaped 8 mm round lavender clip on earrings, that of course match the coloration in the fabulous necklace in this demi-parure set. The top of the earrings are quite domed and a button style earring. The clip on backs are copper colored and work perfectly. In its natural form, Lucite is clear but was often tinted. Lucite jewelry was also designed and manufactured with a process similar to that of Vintage Lucite Confetti purses, manufactured using a process of laminating sparkles, sometimes stars, or threads of foil between sheets of plastic when constructing the walls of the purse, and in this case, the necklace and earrings. The result was an amazing "confetti" appearance, found both in Vintage Lucite purses such as those designed by Gilli and in this fabulous jewelry set! The closure on the necklace is a vintage screw closure made of brass. One brass barrel screws into the opposite side (see photo). This necklace lies beautifully in the neck and looks truly sensational as do the matching earrings. The coloration of the lavender tinted Lucite and copper confetti flecks inside the beads is amazing and it truly must be seen to be appreciated.

Both the necklace and earrings in this Lucite demi-parure are in mint condition, free of any damage whatsoever.
