SALE PRICED! An unusual Vintage Lucite Bangle is presented that has embedded straw flowers inside!
Circa 1960's, this Vintage Lucite bangle measures a bit over ½ of an inch wide. The extremely domed surface creates a depth of about ½ of an inch. It has a fabulous rounded appearance to it. This clear vintage Lucite Bangle has four areas of straw flowers encased inside the Lucite! The coloration of the straw flowers are pink and purple, which stand out extremely well in the clear Lucite bangle. The inside diameter is the standard and comfortable 2 ½ inches.
Lucite was originally introduced to the marketplace by DuPont in 1937, and is the common name associated with an acrylic resin. In its original and basic form, Lucite is clear, but it was often tinted in a wide range of colors and tones. After World War II, Bakelite was no longer cost effective to produce, but Lucite was and still is today. This particular vintage clear Lucite bangle is a wonderful example of those vintage Lucite jewelry pieces where flowers or sea shells were encased or embedded in the Lucite.
This vintage Lucite bangle with its encased straw flowers is in perfect condition and is ready to be worn and enjoyed!
