This Colorful Linocut Print by artist Susi Nagoda Bergquist is titled “The Parrot Bring Corn” and is based on Native American Folklore. The print is hand pulled, and in a custom made and painted frame. The print is signed and dated in pencil on the lower front “S. Nagada Bergquist 2003”, titled in pencil lower center “The parrot Bring Corn”, and numbered in pencil on the lower right front 4/49. The framed print measures approximately 19-1/2 inches tall, 24-5/8 inches wide, and 1 inch deep. The image area measures approximately 12 inches tall and 16-3/4 inches wide. The print is double matted, framed under Plexiglas and is in excellent new condition. (See photos)
Susi Nagoda Bergquist is a popular and well collected artist from San Simon, Arizona. Her Native American themed ceramic pieces were inspired by stories that she was told as a youth. Today besides ceramics she also works in other media including etchings, engravings, and reduction linocuts.
