This colorful Laurence Philip Sisson Abstract Watercolor Painting is titled “Just Walking” and features a figure walking along a Maine Seascape under a cloudy sky. The watercolor is approximately 21-3/4 by 29-3/4 inches, and is not framed or matted. The back of the paper has the title written in pencil, and a label with the title and dimensions. Laurence Philip Sisson (1928-2015) is known for his paintings of southwestern landscapes and of the Maine coast. He has lived in both areas as well as spending time in Japan. Sisson studied at Yale summer school and was Director of the Portland, Maine School of Fine and Applied Art from 1956-58.
