Antique Victorian large 6.5 x 6 x 4 inches papier mache lithograph Easter Egg decoration container with big molded hollow celluloid Easter egg. The egg measures 4.5 x 3 inches. The surface of the container features beautiful pink roses and green leafs on a gold tone background with the same design on both halves. The lining has a light red floral pattern on greenish background. A creamy embossed lacy paper border surrounds one half of the egg in interior and it is a bit damaged with some missing portions. A very fine gold lace paper border surrounds both halves on the exterior side. The two halves fit together quite well but with a slight gap on both ends. The celluloid egg has a fine yellowish coating with brownish gold transfer design featuring flowers, buds and leafs with ''Easter Greeting'' inscription in the middle. Antique condition with some wear and minor loose on the paper coating and a broken part (a hole) on on one papier mache half as depicted in the photos. The egg is in good antique condition with some fine surface scratches on the coating. The container still contains the original goldish wrap paper and the goldish fine ''spaghetti'' cellophane used to protect the egg. An unique and beautiful Easter memorabilia!
