We are happy to offer from our large collection of antique and vintage rosaries, this superb vintage 1944 souvenir from Lourdes France sterling silver 5 decades catholic rosary with molded white semi-translucent slag glass beads and with a very beautiful and elaborated handmade crucifix with high relief design. The crucifix is signed on the back in French ''Souvenir de N.D. de Lourdes''. The center piece depicts the Sorrowful Mother on a side and Blessed Mary appearing in the Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes on other side. The whole rosary and all beads are in good condition and the piece is very solid built. The rosary has 3 medals: (1) one in sterling silver depicting Notre Dame des miracles P.P.N. (Our Lady of the miracles) which is dated hand etched on the back 4.6.1944 and engraved with 2 intervened Gothic letters CE or CG all being surrounded by flowers and leafs. This medal is marked France and has a very small hallmark near the suspension ring; size: 3/4 inches diameter (2) a second small sterling medal with the Notre Dame de la Drèche (Our lady of Drèche) which is a basilica in Tarn, France, on a side and with the image of the basilica in high relief on the other side; size 3/8 inches diameter; (3) a third antique aluminum medal with Latin inscription on both sides - Sanctia Infantia and Virgo Maria; size 3/4 inches diameter.

Good condition with one decade counting only 9 beads -sold as is.
