Three back-facing nudes adorn this classic Van Briggle pottery design. “The Three Graces “depicted in the piece exemplify charm, beauty, and creativity as they were known in Greek mythology although they also represented faith, hope, and charity in other versions of the parable. Here, with arms outstretched, they are holding a softly draping material that adds a light and airy feel to the piece. It stands approximately 16 3/4” high and is around 10” diameter at the base. It is signed Van Briggle, Colo Spgs. HVM (see photos for all incised marks). It is in very good vintage condition with no crazing, cracks, chips, or other signs of wear, repair, or misuse. It has the matte aqua, or ming turquoise, glaze so typical of Van Briggle pottery.
