Stirred or shaken...this is sure to ring your bell! You can measure ingredients for the perfect gin martini or the sophisticated manhattan. Amounts of sweet vermouth and rye for the manhattan and dry vermouth and gin for a martini are marked inside the bell. You can give the booze a shake or a stir (the clapper acts as a stirrer). There may have been a chrome cap at the end of the wooden handle but we do not know if a cap was part of the original design or not.
This wonderful bar piece was made by the Napier company during WWII when Napier ceased making jewelry and produced bar ware as well as other items before resuming their costume jewelry manufacturing after the war. This is a collector’s item for sure whether you collect barware or jewelry. It is a conversation piece as well as functional. The handle could use a little polish but the chrome is is very good condition for its age.
Voss Vintage Chic guarantees all items as described and photographed.
