Gold-tone openwork and marquise-shaped clear rhinestones combine in an airy brooch by Hollycraft dated 1952. The wonderful thing about this brooch is that the graceful and somewhat intricate design almost appears to move like a wind spinner. It is extremely well crafted and a departure from the pastel colors and floral designs for which Hollycraft was most noted. It measures 2 1/2” in diameter and has the Hollycraft signature and 1952 date. It is in very good (excellent) original condition.
Hollycraft began as the Hollywood Jewelry Manufacturing Company in 1938 and was later renamed Hollycraft. The firm closed in 1970.
