Kestner bisque closed mouth twenty-four inches with fine bisque very pouty socket head, her full coloring is very pretty, brown glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush stroked eyebrows, accented nostrils, and eye corners, closed mouth with very full lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden fully jointed early body with plump limbs and straight wrists, original antique costume. The Kestner book says this could be the largest size of the 128 very pouty face. See picture in 14th BB pg. 122. Conditions are excellent and all original. Marked fifteen, Kestner circa 1885. This sought-after closed mouth child has fine luminous bisque, enhancing decorative glaze on her lips, original wig, pate, early body, and body finish. Beautiful floral buttons with fancy gold metal trim around each that close with loops matching the trim of her coat and hat. Her blouse and skirt are of a navy small blue and white checks that look lovely with her red embellished coat and hat with silk ruching and full matching bow on the hat. Her underwear is also original, with matching slip and pantaloons. She would be a wonderful doll to add to your collection, she is perfect, generous size, very sought after girl with escalating value.
