Gorgeous early Sonnenberg type antique doll
This is a stunning antique doll with the look of a portrait Jumeau. She is probably german, from the Sonnenberg area, but made to rival Jumeau dolls and the other finest french bebes and she does. She has the look and quality of a belton type, but she has a french cut head instead. She has stunning blue spiral enamel eyes, gorgeous painted features, lined lips, beautiful pale bisque, closed mouth, pierced ears and slanted head opening. She is 14.5" tall. Her fabulous antique factory made dress is perfect on her and accents her beautiful coloring. She has antique boots and an older wide brim straw bonnet. Her antique wig is long, but sparse, which you don't notice with the bonnet on. She is in very good condition without hairlines, breaks or repairs to her bisque. Her body has had a good quality repaint and is in very good condition. She is marked with just a "7" on the back of her head and her body has a red marking on her back, but I'm not sure what it is. She is very reasonably priced for a doll of her quality, will be great on display with other french and german girls, or would be a star all on her own!
