We are very pleased to offer our customers this Amazing and Rare FAO Schwarz "Made in Germany" musical Carousel with small rubber animals and Caco doll children in 1:12th scale. When the key of top of the crank box is wound a musical tune plays. If I am correct, the song is the Hearst Song (aka the worms crawl in,....). There is a belt missing. The belt would go around the crank and cause the merry-go-round to turn. The Carousel is in perfect condition, with minimal paint loss (see pictures for evidence of paint wear- especially around the top red rim.). The animals are made of a rubbery substance and are fastened to the base with silver toned metal rods. Each animal friend has a Caco child riding upon it. One boy has the original triangle shaped Caco paper tag on his wrist. Note that there is also a wooden red painted trapezoid shaped 'tag' that states "Est. 1862 TOYS FAO Schwarz" which hangs from a pole by a yellow cord. On the base of the item is the words "Made in Germany" stamped in blue. The piece is in overall excellent condition with minimal wear, clean parts, and no smoky smells or stains. Notice that the paper and fabric flowers are still BRIGHT and Clean! Wow!!
The girl in pink has come unglued. She has metal hands and feet and a plastic head- as do the others- who remain glued to their animal friend.

NOTE: I do not know what the holes are for on the back side of the music box.
Notice the small crack on the front of the ticket booth/music box.

13" to the finial tip.
11.5" to the ceiling roof.
