A marvelous French candy box in the early Art Deco style. The porcelain femme fatale was made by one of the finest manufacturers of these decorative novelty’s. Dressel Kister co Produced some of the most impressive and high quality products at the beginning of the 20th century. This bonbonere is probably modeled after one of the popular entertainers in Paris with the half figure attached to the round box top and her standing legs forming the base.
The round cardboard box is dressed in layers of gold silk and metal lace.
Standing at an impressive 10.5” tall she must have been a wonderful gift, filled with the finest sweets for someone special.
