rare pair of candy boxes circa 1880 :
each figure stands about 12 1/4" tall (31 cm).
the bisque heads are in perfect condition - free of hairline or restoration - , were made by François Gaultier and incised ' 1 ' at the rear of each head.
original clothes in good used condition with minor wears.
the arms are in bisque and in good condition : 1 finger has been professionally restored.
original cork pate . mohair wigs : for the man it is a replacement.
the cardboard boxes are in good condition, 1 is not perfect but in good condition.
very interesting item.
