This is a beautiful Sterling Silver vanity set made by the Saart Brothers, William, Albert and Herman Saart in the 1900's. Each piece has a cartouche on the back center of each piece minus any initials. At the base of the mirror and brush you will find the initials and markings S&B along with Sterling Silver. The condition of each of these pieces are very good considering the age. The mirror is clear, minus of any dents on either piece. The brush has the identical markings and has 9 rows of nylon bristles with the bristles embedded into wood. It looks like the covering on the wood around the base of the bristles is peeling. Embedded in the wood is nylon bristles, USA. I have been amazed at the condition of both of these pieces. The handle on the mirror measures 7inches with a total length of 13 1/4 inches and the handle on the brush measures 6 inches with a total length of 10 1/4 inch. If you have any questions regarding this set please place an inquiry to Ruby Lane.
