An unusual sugar server from West Germany manufactured by STOHAG. I could not identify the pattern but it looks like a rectangular panes of glass 5/8 inch in length with 7 rows then a screwed on metal top with pouring spout. The base of the sugar server is about 3inches in diameter and has an 8 pointed star surrounded by the STOHAG and made in West Germany. The container at the top near the spout is approximately 2 1/4 inch in diameter. I could not begin to guess the age of this piece but the condition is excellent so its possible that the company is still in existence and this is a fairly new piece. It certainly would be a conversation piece. Back in the 40's- 50's this type of sugar dispenser was common in coffee shops.
