This is a beautiful example of a child praying in 1884. The history on this print was written on the bottom back of the frame, left corner in pencil, which is very hard to read so you will need very good lighting and a magnifying glass to read the following. This is what I could read "Was my mother W.O. Taylor. Mailed to W.O. Taylor Tarbox 9/19/10." On the bottom of the print is the following. Published & Copyrighted by J.F. Hill & Co.- Augusta Maine 1887 - Evening Prayer Hutch CO, N.Y. This print came out of a log cabin in Maine and had been hanging in the cabin since 1910. On the back of the print is a cedar board which was placed there when received to hold the print in place. The frame is the original.
