This beautiful print which was part of the Wallace collection of London, England presents a lady in the process of making Lace, a very time consuming past time and almost a lost art in our present time. It looks as if her feet are tired as you can see her shoes in the foreground. The paper that is posted on the wall in the background and printed at the bottom left hand corner of the paper says C. Netschen. I don't know if the posting is instructions on the pattern of lace or something else. This is a beautiful piece of art. The frame is in very good condition in a soft gold tone which brings out the color in her blouse.
