A magnificent, original Vienna Bronze figure by the renowned Franz Bergman, dating to the early 20th c. This highly detailed, orientalist example depicts an Arab on a prayer rug and is of a rather large size. His shoes and staff are placed aside as he looks up in prayer, with both hands open. There are many great details in this bronze - notice the geometric camels on the rug, and the finely cast face and fingers. The bronze is finely cold painted in wonderful shades of green, blue, red, and pink. Marked to the bottom of the bronze with the Bergman amphora. An excellent large example, guaranteed to be an original, early 20th c. Vienna Bronze by Franz Bergman. The cold paint on this example is pristine! Best I've come across.
Condition: Excellent condition, with no damages or repairs. The original cold paint is still very vibrant and pleasing, with original patina and minimal wear. Very well preserved over the years.
Measurements: 5 3/4 in long x 5 1/4 in wide x 5 1/4 in high (15 cm x 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm).
